Default k+n typhoon filter

Hi ,im looking for info as i have just bought a k+n typhoon filter kit which goes in the wing,its for my uk 2003 wrx...but ive read some nasty stories about oil filters messing up a sensor...is there anyone who is using one of these or tried one of these......any help welcome....cheers

K&N use a dry filter so they are maf sensor friendly. Some other brands use an oil based filter which can effect the maf sensor as you mentioned

Unless your running silly bhp your better off with a good panel filter

i had a typhoon on my my02 sti and had no problems with it, the car was mapped 500 miles after fitting by andyf. they look nice do the job and make a cool noise
