Towing eyes at the front of the car, rear diff if it's the back end you want lifting.

hope you don't mind me hijacking (no pun) your thread but I was going to ask a simlar question and it just seemed silly to make another thats related

I want to change the backbox on my car so need to jack it up and support it on axel stands.

Jacking point answered above but wheres the best place to put the axel stands? on my old FWD car i used to put them on the rear beam. never supported a 4WD car before.

cars a 53plate Impreza STi

Under the jacking points on the sills, just infront of the rear wheels. There should be two indents (one per side) just nicely shaped for the top of axle stands
