Default replacing the turbo

just a couple of questions,
when changing your turbo + your up pipe....
new gaskets for turbo to downpipe/ top of up pipe would you put a new 1 on bottom of up pipe ??
can some one tell me briefly what fits what cheers.

Personally I'd say you can get away with leaving all of them if they're in good nick. They're steel and not really compressible. If they're in OK condition just reuse them. I've done so a number of times with just a little exhaust paste and they're fine. But if you did want to do the job properly, then yes you'd need all three that you mention. More likely that you'll be wanting new studs, bolts and nuts, which incidentally aren't cheap either. Use a 14mm swivel headed ratchet spanner and a quality wall drive 6-sided socket or your nuts will round off.

It may last a long time but personally I would change it whilst I had access to it as I wouldn't want to take the turbo off/drop up-pipe etc again a few weeks or months later just to change the up-pipe gaskett as it's a lot of work to do just for a gaskett.
