MAF sensor
Hi all,
i'm in the process of accumalating all the bits for my upgrades.
The MAF sensor on my 95 sti is to be upgraded to the later 96+ year so i can run the higher boost if needed later. Has anyone got a part number i can have so i dont get ripped off when purchasing one.
even better a photo of it.
cheers

IIRC the MAF sensors on the older classic are around 250 quid
on the newer classics 99/00 you can just buy the sensor without the housing for about 80 quid
Sorry I dont have part numbers or pics

What type of ecu are you going to upgrade to...?
The Apexi Power FC can use the STi 4 maf part number 22680AA271 which are available through the dealer network for £190 +vat...The maf scales are already in the Apexi for this maf by selecting the 90mm option and this will get you around fine until you get it mapped...Dont forget you will also need to upgrade the MAP sensor or fit the Apexi boost control kit to go with it if you want boost control to function without the need for a bleed valve or similar..While the smaller later classic maf could be fitted into a 90mm tube and calibrated using the same option it is far less reliable than the old style mafs...
You could of course also talk to Steve Simpson Motorsport about the Simtek ecu..This has no need for the MAF so no need to upgrade and with the 3 bar map sensor upgrade will control boost using the stock solenoid..

No sweat , you will also need a new induction kit to fit the larger body...
Best of luck....
