How do I remove engine
I recently have been encountering some highly annoying problems, namely a blown head gasket and suspected cracked head. Cannot afford to pay to get the job done so am doing it myself, but have never done this before. I have all ancillaries removed from the engine, front pipe unbolted from turbo, and now just need to know where to go next.
1/Where are the mounts located? I take it they are the solid rubbery type things either side of box next to wishbones?
2/Do I remove the mounts from car, or engine from mounts?
3/Where do lift from, there don seem to be any lifting eyes, and Ive been told NOT to use the inlet.
4/Does the box need supported with a jack?
5/Do I pull engine forward, or lift up, or both?

the mounts are at the bottom of the engine. cant go wrong there..
only 2 bolts if i remember correctly and the mounts go with the engine
no the box doesnt need to be supported by a jack altough I think its better to support it while you take the engine out but can then be removed and you pull the engine slightly forward to clear the studs at the bottom of the gearbox and then lift her up

Are there any eyes/points to lift from, or do I just wrap straps around the block??
