Hi Drew I have done this on my Classic, it has Newage WRX intercooler it is a very tight fit, the hardest pert is getting the big intercooler pipe to fit on the manifold, the distance between the manifold and baulkhead is the main problem!
I cut the Samco hose down to give a bit more space, It probably isnt as bad as i have made it sound ! Did have to flatten a metal bracket with a hammer underneath the IC!
I could upload some pic's to give you an idea if you like?

It's easier to fit on the later classics due to space available, otherwise on the phase 1.5 you will need to fabricate a pipe for the recirc/bov.

seems like it will be more hastle than fitting a FMIC as i think the tmic will foul my strut brace, its all due to a boost problem which i need to get to the botom of anyway.

keeps restricting the boost to 0.5kg/cm3 instead of its usual 1.0kg/cm3, and its intermitent (sp) so not sure if its MAF or the old style hks BOV thats on the way out???? starting to get fed up with her!!!!

You will need the extra pipe fabricated on the new IC for the BOV, I got mine done from Zen, saved me the hassle...

With regards to the boost problem, have you had it mapped? If you have an apexi any faults with the MAF will show up on the sensor check on the commander. Try reverting back to the standard re-circ and see if it's any better with that. If all the pipes are connected tightly and there are no boost leaks, it does sound like it could be some sort of sensor problem.
