MY01 oil level check? Level ground, cold engine etc. But how come dip stick never seems to give same reading each time you try. How do dealers do it. Guess work? Or top secret method, very annoying.

If you remove/wipe/reinsert the dipstick up to about 10 times (!), it eventually gets rid of the oil layer in the dipstick tube, and you get a good reading!
