Can the speedo be repaired (the main mile reading is broken)?

Also what should the speedo be reading in fifth gear as before i changed the clocks it would read approx 70mph@3500revs but now shows approx 80mph@3500revs.
When changing the clocks the converter was accidentally unplugged and obviously had to be plugged back together.My main concern is obviously the speedo incorrectly under reading as i go through about 4 speed cameras a day.

Car is a 93 wrx on 16" standard subaru alloys (from a 98 car),speedo is cable driven.

You could get another needle I suppose.

Unless new clock faces are fitted perfectly you will have nothing but problems with them. What make are they? Are they properly calibrated?

You could try using some sort of GPS system to see if it is reading correctly, TOM TOM, Navman, that sort of thing. TBH though I'd think about getting second hand ones and changing them.

 

Sorry should have said it's the entire clock units standard face (speedo,rev counter,fuel gauge and temp) as it was alot easier to fit then messing with a single clock.

If i can get the mileometer fixed on my old unit then i can change them back.
Thing is also is how can they be recalibrated (if at all)?

I'm not too sure how far the clocks strip down. Could you make a good set?

I know for deffo that the whole speedo unit can be removed. I didn't go any further than that with mine though.

Speedo unit is full of cogs and stuff,buggered if i'm going to take that apart.
