ok - I have an 04 WRX and the 3 year warranty runs out in the next 2 weeks. I have noticed a very slight knocking noise twice now in the last few days which has happened when I have been pulling away (fairly quickly) with the front wheels turned to the right (i.e. turning right out of a junction)

I have tried to replicate this a few times, and the knocking hasn't reappeared

Can anyone tell me what may be causing this, and if I should be rushing the car in under warranty...?

 

Sounds like you may have a worn bush on the front, or strut top mounts, have a look for any play on the anti roll bars etc, seeing as you have 2 weeks warranty left get it booked in and checked

 

could also be a bearing

 

Now booked in to my "local" Subaru dealers (60 miles away ) for next Friday....
