i've just purchased a set of de cats for my 53 wrx sti ppp impreza i'm off to the ring in 10 days, is my car going to cope ok with out having a remap straight away? thank you to any one who can advise.

You will want to watch out for the guys walking around with noise meters as any car over 95dB (I think) isnt allowed round the ring. It rarely happens but there is the possibility of getting caught. Dont rev it up in the car park and bring unwanted attention.

cheers mate they could ruin my weekend in 5 minutes i'll keep the rpm low round the car park. could some one please give advice as to weather my ppp can cope with twin decats without a remap thankyou.

Its normally advisable to have a remap after a decat as boost spikes can cause you car to run lean, especially if you are booting it which I imagine you will around the ring.
As ever its a case of can you afford not to?

Pretty certain a remap is essential if you are fully decating a newage due to boost spikes as mentioned above. The ring will push the car to it's limits so Dill's question is bang on.
Bob R told me to say below 0.5bar of boost prior to him mapping mine after fitting - me thinks you will want to be above that at the ring
