Depends on the oil viscosity used, i would say on idle between 30-60 psi and on a cruise 70 + Again oil temps vary, what are you seeing ?

75+ degrees when warmed up temp wise.....pressure off the scale until very warm then around 50 psi on idle.... takes longer than you thing to warm up though.

pressure jumps all over the place and goes off the scale, just wanted to no if this was right, or if i had a faulty guage

pressure will be all over the place depending on the engine revs....... steady on idle though at approx 50 psi...... do notice that the pressure drops after over time due to oil degradation.... after an oil change it sits higher again..... another indicator the oil needs re freshing.

Just for reference purposes, the Subaru workshop manual states that idle oil pressure needs to be only 1bar/15psi or higher when up to temperature and something like 4 bar at 3k revs or above. There are loads of Snetters on here that run whopping oil pressures at idle, but don't sweat it if yours is 1-2 bar, it's OK.
