Default is it the ic valve???

My 96 RA is hunting between revs, it is mis-firing alot when i take my foot off the gas and it has started to stall when i push in the clutch at traffic lights and roundabouts.
When i unplug the icv the revs hold at 1000 rpm and does not stall and when i plug it back in it wants to stall or does stall. The MAF sensor has been changed 2 months ago and i have a down decat pipe....any ideas? Could it be the icv?

Many thanks Neil

Right cleaned the icv today and went for a long run the car was fine no stalling or back fires. Going to plug back in the lambda and see if it starts again, If it does where can i get a lambda from

Also with the lambda unpluged will the fuel economy get worse as it seems to have

Thanks Neil

Fuel economy shouldn't change by unlugging the O2 sensor, so I suspect if it really has got worse that the sensor is FUBAR and you were running very lean.
