my dads impreza sport 2.0i auto has absolutely hardly no power below 3k revs now, ive driven it before when he got it and now its very boggy when pulling off and driving normally , you can feel it when in gear and just gently accelerating, you have to give it some whacking to get anywhere....
its had new spark plugs 3 months ago but still the engine management light comes up.... could it be the spark plugs and leads or something else??

sounds like the car has gone onto limp home mode

some useful info could be in hand... if anyone else has had them sort of symtoms , could it need the leads and plugs replacing not just the plugs? maybe get it plugged into comp n see? whats best course of action?

Nah if it was in limp home mode it wouldnt give power/rev past a certain revs.

Try checking the ecu codes. Guide on how to check codes

right it comes up with - 12 - 32 -53
which would be

12 - starter signal
32 - A/F Sensor #1 or #2
32 - Oxygen Sensor
53 - Antenna
53 - anti Quick operation mode

those are the manual ones from subaru specific sheet, thats without me plugging it into a computer of course...
