Can anyone offer advice on best Induction kit with hard pipe for 99 Sti Type R.

Told today HKS no longer supply for year with hard pipe?

why would you want an induction kit? unless you were going for figures above 350-400 bhp, which the standard air filter arrangement is more than capable of.

Little green on subject was hoping to improve air flow to engine??
Just has a K&N filter in standard box at moment any other advice would be greatly received.

Killed several MAF's with IK's on my old MY99 Type R, K&N panel filter and never had any problems.

Stay with the Standard set-up unless you have a FMIC or big power, much less hassle.

and If you plan to get the front mount on a ver2 car, then what I left to do with my airbox ? CAI ?

I guess that if I just fit the apexi cone filter, even if it collects hot air under bonnet I do not care cause I fitted the FMIC, right ???

Don't over oil a swap in K&N panel either as that can kill the MAF as well! You can also remove the intake silncer (sometimes called a snorkus) from the inner wing and either get a pipe connecting it to the original entry or make your own CAI into the stock airbox.
