To save me the trouble of taking bits off the car and wasting a few hours this weekend, can anyone confirm the design of the std Hawkeye STi exhaust headers?
Are they still cast items, but equal length that would benefit with porting or have they switched to the (equal length?) tubular design like the JDM twin scrolls?

Shaun (webmaster) actually lost power from porting his JDM twin scroll headers.

Only JDM headers are equal length due to the use of the twin scroll turbo.

I thought that hawkeyes are also equal length - hence the lack of the characteristic burble and the need for a new shape oil sump as per a twin scroll?

Nope the UK 2.5 are uneven length, only the JDM cars are even length, the lack of burble is common on all scoobs when they have a standard exhaust on, and the 2.5's are no different, though changing the back box will help with the burble
