Default engine light flashed 3 times!!!

Uk wrx02 bugeye......engine light flashed 3 times on the other day!!!
I was on motorway going about 70 ish 5th gear foot down.
It flashed 3 times!!!and didnt stay on!!!!
I've plugged obd2 the next day and no reading.
Has anyone ever had this b4?

iv had the same trouble however the reading was a misfire on no1 cyclinder
dont panick 2 much till the light stays on subaru just winding us up i think .

I had it, turned out to be a wee sensor at £70. Bit of the 2luck of the draw". more likely to be "emmission related" than "implosion imminent" !

Dont worry too much.Mine occ'y comes on then goes off (happened 3 times in as many weeks), not noticed anything different with car

Its always good to know what historical code is stored though. Just incase it is something beginning to fail so that you can keep an eye on it.
