Is it safe to...
...wrap the exhaust side of the turbo with exhaust wrap like DEI or Cool-It? Or do you need something designed specifically like a turbo blanket?

I have wrapped the headers and down pipe in the bandage. I think it is just easier to use the turbo blanket rather than trying to wrap the turbo with all the pipes that come off it.
