full H&S exhaust= must re-map?

full H&S exhaust= must re-map?
Hi, on my subaru at the mo it has center decat an rear box, if i change the front pipe will it need a re map as soon as its changed? or can i wait a month or two before the map?
i have done a search but had no luck, cheers in advance

I think you will need a remap mate. Especially if it is a Decat.
As i understand you can still get boost spikes with even a centre decat only which arent healthy... and changing anymore can result in overboosting which will cause lean running.
Im sure an expert will confirm / deny this... but it seems Imprezas are pretty touchy about Induction/Exhaust mods without remaps.

thanks marmski, i currently have;
H&S rear box
H&S center de cat pipe
green panel filter
and i was looking at getting a H&S downpipe(de cat).
so it will be fully de catted.

It will run just fine with a decat.
The problem is with the pedal on the far right.
If you use it carefully, as in stick to the speed limit, no ragging it, you won't hurt anything.
I know the above concept will come as something of a shock to some who may read this!
The big idea is to de-restrict the exhaust gas flow, then take full advantage of that fact by setting it up properly. You can't do anything to a Subaru without setting it up if you want to get the best out of it.
In the meantime, go carefully, not as the Skyline driving Dummy who left my place the other day, spinning the wheels in first, second and third not ten seconds after I suggested he "take it easy" until he had his fuelling issues looked at.
