Default Ecutek on MY03 Spec C

Hi guys

Finally my car is coming this weekend, can't wait anymore.

Now I do have a question amongst others.

It has a Ecutek map on the 03 Spec C ecu.
It has a regular setting plus one with ALS.

How is that when I disconnect the battery?
Will I loose all maps?
Or just the learning progress?

The car was mapped quite far away and I would not like to go there if something happens. We do have a good mapper in the area, but out here ALS is almost unknown.
Could he copy the map to his computer for later uploading if necessary?

And another question, is there a difference between a 03 Spec C engine and a 04 STi jap engine?

Thanks guys

You will not lose any of the maps by disconnecting the battery as they are stored on the flash chip...
The learning process will be lost but will soon recover as you drive it...
