what year car is it ?
if its a pre 95 model shouldnt need a cat test because its an import and the emissions test should be a non cat test because the data in the machine cant find an exact match for the vehicle

My car just passed the MOT today with just one cat, although it was a Ninja downpipe with sportscat, which cost me £300.

find a friendly station, they do still exist. Otherwise do a service, plugs filters (inc fuel) to see if that helps

My uk97 passed the MOT easily with just the centre section cat. Easy to fit as a temp measure!

Figures need to be below .30 CO, 200 PPM HC and lambda .97 to 1.03 for most cars.

If you have correct lambda and around .5 to .6 CO the cat is duff or missing!

If you have low lambda ( below .97 ) and a high CO the car is running rich, and you have a fault.

Hi Caper.. Cat should fix that. As your lambda is correct, the mixture isn't the issue.
