TD05h 18G 7CM or VF37??
hi
i have a 2004 STi ecutek tuned to 289 whp feels good
hits 1.45 bar from 3400 i think till around 4500 then boost going slowly down to around 1.1 at 7
the car doesnt feel so fast after 4500 with the stock turbo
so i am thinking of upgrading to either TD05h 18G 7CM or VF37
i already have all the parts to move to the twin scroll so that wont be a problem and i have the turbo
but now i'm not sure the vf37 would actually give me more high rpm power??
what do u guys think??
Thanks
rasheed

What is the 7CM?
I have an 18g. Made a mahoooosive difference over the VF35. Boosts a little later, but hardly noticeable, around 1 bar at 3000 rpm, and hits 1.63bar by 3,4-500. Holds it very well.

yep 7cm inlet
thats the thing i got all the parts i need for the vf37 swap as that was my plan
but i wanted to tune my car(vf25) 1st as much as i could and then put the vf37 on and see if its any better
then after tuning my car the tunner showed me what a friend with a vf37 got
and it wasnt much like 10 hp max extra!
so not worth changing headers(loosing the boxer rumble) oilpan, modding my downpipe, getting a new dip stick... even though i got them ready
so now i am thinking of the 18g or even a vf37 hybrid like the one this site's mod got
what i want is low lag and good power! specially as the stock 35 dies after 5500rpm
