GP intake elbow
Are these still available from the US, or better still is there a uk supplier..?
Fancy doing snorklectomy, but I'd want to have a direct cold air feed from oem ram scoop.
I know you can 'adapt' (cut and slice) the silencer, but I'd rather keep it intact in case I change my mind..

Had a look this evening through o/s fog cover (WRX with fogs removed) and bottom bolt is easily accessible. However, I noticed that the silencer is in a location that receives plenty of cold air from fog cover (even WRX fog surround has an air inlet) and therefore presumably cooling intake..!
Interesting..
I'm going to do snorkelectomy provided I can get/fabricate an elbow as, IMO, it has to allow turbo to pull the air in easier..? Think of it like trying to suck air through a kinked straw as opposed to a straight one..
If it lowers spool, even 100 rpm, it'll be worth it.
