Newbie looking at Turbo S Forester
Hi Guys
i have just gone to see a UK spec S Turbo Forester with 117k miles on it
the engine seemed to run quiet enough without any smoke, the guy who is selling it has got it booked in for a new diff as when you throttle off it whines quite badly is this unusual for this mileage?
I also noticed that the radiator was spitting out water from what seemed to be where the top part meets the fins , is this a common problem ? i told him to sort that while it was in the garage also
the car has no signs of being modified or neglected which is good
i was impressed with the car but not with the performance (as i expected 177BHP) are these engines easily tuneable to 200-220BHP? if so what are the best things to start with ? maybe an exhaust and a simple remap?
any help would be great , thanks guys
thanks
Jim
