Default change of ecu problems, please help...

Hi all,

I have recently replaced the apexi fc commander which was fitted to my 1997 wrx when i bought for a (not sure if this is the correct ecu for my 1997 wrx) 8S code ecu, when i finished doing the changeover and tried to start the car it was turning over but not firing up and starting and the check engine light was flashing, it flashed up the code 53 which is fuel pump or circuit, any help with this would be great as i am stuck without my scooby.

Thanks
Dan.

8S is the ecu from a turbo 2000. There are quite a few problems you'll run into - the cam and crank wire are swapped, the ecu will be expecting a signal from the immobiliser, and some of the maps will be wrong (different turbo / MAF etc)

The correct ECU should be:

1S if you have a saloon
2S if you have a wagon
3S if you have an auto

.. I think!
