Above 80kmh, my left gives some unpleasant air noise. Source seems to be downward the roof hoop. When I go along the border with my finger I don't really have the feeling any air pass through.
Ok, I have no problems to cover that noise with my sound system. But well, sometimes, I don't listen to music. Just want to listen to my loved car...

I have this problem since I got the car (new). Workaround was easy: take down a bit the window and close it up. It was just enough to bring down the sound (To be done each time I opened the door...).

For a couple of weeks - in fact, since it started to get very cold here - the workaround doesn't work anymore. The door joint looks still new and supple to me. I don't think that changing it would solve my problem.

Any ideas?

Regards,
Jean Pierre.

Mine do the same since new (MY2000).
Try open the door (not in high speeds) close up the window and then close the door.
It works fine in my car.

Try a little silicon spray or washing up liquid on the seals - worked for me.

Had the same prob on my TypeR 2 door. Noise above 70mph!

Took the door trim off and hey presto...2 bolts that are at either end off the drop glass so you can adjust the height of the glass in its holder. Raised the side that was blowing. 15 min job from start to finish.

Now speed tested to 160mph......No noise!......NICE!!

any probs mail me!

Thumbs up

confirm what Timo says. Window needs adjusting, get it done before the glass gets scratched by runners.

cheers

Timo's suggestion stands to reason. I'll try this.

Sorry, being late in my reply. Some vacations - Had a nice time and was off net ;-).

Happy new year to all.

JP.
