Default awd box on an sti

would an awd gearbox fit onto a v1 sti, i know there not as strong but i have a spare one lying on my garage floor and was just wondering if they were basically the same, cheers phil.

I would imagine you mean a UK box? As long as you have the rear diff to match then more than likely if everything matches up.

it looks like it would all match but why would i need the rear diff, what would happen if it wasnt put on aswell.

the stis rear diff and the front diff from the UK box will be fighting each other.....youd soon find out what would happen
