Question air intake advice

I run a 99 uk classic,standard air box with a green cotton air filter. I heard sum talk about removing or modifying something inside the wing. what does this do and how easy is it. dont want to fit an induction kit as i know they eat the maf.

thinks they on about removing the silencer from in the wing. gives more induction noise and dump valve noise. Quite easy to do only 2 bolts hold it in

if its like the newage snorkels it has a black rectangular base with 2 round tubes coming out the top - you can get to it by taking the wheel arch trim out.

You will need to buy a alternative piece to join up the air intake to the airbox - worth noting you will increase the risk of sucking up water though as it will feed directly to the filter.
