Induction kit question and maybe boost!!!
When i bought my 93wrx it had a KN induction kit which i found out is bad for the MAF so i've changed to a Blitz dry element kit. Problem now is on the KN there was a hole in the back of the filter for a pipe which comes from the bottom of the boost solinoid, on the blitz filter there is no hole for this pipe so do i need to make a hole for it or leave the pipe doing nothing????
I've also noticed the wastegate noise through the filter is not as loud now???

if you've put the airbox back on the noise won't be as loud - not sure about a hole in the airbox though

Pictures would help mate. Do mean that you have gone back to the original airbox?
If so, the pipe coming from the side of the wing is the cold air feed, so yes, it does need to be connected.

No sorry, i'm still using an induction kit just a dry element one instead of the oil based KN. The pipe i'm on about comes off the bottom of the boost soilinoid where should it go as it went in the back of the KN filter but there is no hole for it on the Blitz filter?

IIRC the bottom pipe off the solenoid goes into the inlet tract, so it doesn't really matter where as long as it's between the filter and the turbo. Make a new hole for it. You don't want it just left open to the air.
