Afternoon,

I have been told that to prolong the life of the stock Uk Gearbox when running high torque (300lbs and over), you can overfill it by about half a litre. Is this true and ok to do??

I was told this by a guy with vastly more mechanical knowledge and experience than me, so I don't doubt that it is true; but I was just wondering what everyone else's opinion is on this??

Ive also been told this,Aparently it covers one of the gears better(i think third)

can you do it just to look after the gearbox even if you dont have 300+bhp?

 

mine was slightly overfilled as well but it went **** up yesterday ! so now i need another uk box
