Boost creep
Hi all,
Have a nasty problem with overboosting on a 94 Wagon GT. The car has the following specs:
3" Revolution exhaust with H&S 3" DP with racing cat.
K&N Panel filter.
Scott ECU chip. (set for 16.1 psi as max)
The problem is that the car over boosts. I can keep it OK untill 4500-5000 RPM, but then the boost starts creeping and the car hits fuel cut. I hoped to cure it with a Apexi AVC-R, but that did not solve the problem. I have not got the AVC-R set for 20% duty cycles above 4500 RPM and it can't go any lower and the boost is still rising.
What is the cure for this? Porting of the turbo wastegate?
Thanks in advance
Rasmus

is the turbo aucator working ok? i kepted getting boost creep on my old turbo, and the aucator was knackered. i connected the pipe from the turbo to the aucator, and this should give aucator pressure, if it creeps up, could mean it is on its way out.
think this is right, but im sure a mapper will be along soon to put me right if im wrong :-)
soz about spelling
