Default What should a 2002 wrx idle at??

My 2002 wrx (only mod H&S backbox) idles at 600rpm when warm, is this normal or do i have a prob somewhere as i am paranoid when sitting at lights or in traffic because it is so quiet it feels like it is going to cut out,

Sorry this is my first subaru and just wanted to check

Cheers

750 is normal I think. Idle speed is quoted on a small label under the bonnet (not adjustable). I'd suggest the problem is a small inaccuracy in your rev counter at low rpm and not to worry about it. Mention it to dealer (or preferably specialist like Scoobyclinic) at your next service.

700rpm when hot and A/C is off.

Tacho reads 0rpm, the next mark is 500rpm. SO you should be 2 marks above 0 on the tacho.

Below is a pic to show what its idling at, i would call it 600rpm, if it is meant to idle at 700rpm would could cause this? Pic was taken after returning from a 10 min drive with air con off btw.

That is spot on, dont worry about it.

There may be a slight difference on another car but only very minor, leave it alone.
