My car is a 2000my P1 and is idleing at only 500 rpm,can this be altered??,and the oil pressure gauge i just fitted is reading just above 1 bar, (its an auto gauge!) at 90 degree on tickover ! and i have had to fit the new sender unit it came with through a steel braided adapter cus it wouldnt fit under the alternater, would this cause anythin? please help a little worried now, considering the engine was only rebuilt 3k miles ago.

what happens to the oil pressure when you hold it at about 800-1000rpm?
what grade oil have you got in it?
your idle rpm does seem lower than normal, think the idle valve is adjustable but you maybe able to do it via the ECU depending what its running.
