Default Engine stands- how do they attach (non subaru)

Am buying a project engine for my pug 205 GTI, now how do these attach to the block and will any stand fit?

Can you also have the gearbox on at the same time?

Please help never used one of these before, and dont want to buy the wrong one, any recommendations for said engine

Cheers

The one I've got came with adjustable brackets, they can be moved about to match up to the holes on the engine where the gearbox would normally attach, then you just bolt everything up.

No just the engine. I got the 4 wheel one from machine mart for my Mi16 motor, it's around £46.

The 8v Xu isn't much lighter, but I got the 4 wheeled one because it's more stable than the 3 wheeled version. With my one I could undo and tighten the head bolts myself.

That's the same as the one that's holding my Golf GTi motor off the ground
