Default Apexi AVC-R

Hi all,

I few weeks ago I bought an Apexi AVC-R from a guy here on SN and today I wanted to connect it. The only problem is that the unit does not seem to work. I got all wires setup according to the manual, but the unit did not light up, so I disconnected everything and tried to connect the red wire to + on the battery and the black and green to the - on the battery, still nothing. I would thing that this means that I have been fu.... over? Can anybody confirm?

The unit is connected like this on a phase 1 car:

White: Speed Signal: B95-11
Gray: Throttle: B95-2
Black: Ground: B44-15
Green: Ground: B44-15
Purple: RPM/Injectors: B44-13
Red: Power: B96-12

Any input would be very welcome!! If the unit is broken I need a new ASAP :-(

Kindest regards

Rasmus

Does it have any sort of internal fuse?

Maybe its been blown on removal / fitting ?

there is no fuse in it so if it does not power up it will be fooked the ground however must be conected at 2 different points on the wire (NOT TOGATHER) or it will not work.

I would not imagine that I would fry it connecting it to the battery, after alle it is supposed to run on 12 volts.

Anyway thanks for the replys. Are there any specific reason why I need to take the ground from two different places one the same wire?

the unit needs a very good ground.. hence the two wires.. when installed you should just take a different source for each ground or run a thick wire to the battery.. however you should cause no damage connecting it to the battery.. something wrong with the unit.

Old post resurrected!

Has anyone had to run a new ground in for their AVC-R, i am getting funny readings on my speed display and wondered if this might be a cause?
