Just got my MY99 impreza turbo, TDO4 or O5??

How do i know whether mine has the TD04 or TD05 turbo?help would b appreciated as ive heard the 05 is better

As above. Depends what you mean by better: TD04 is a 280bhp capable turbo, but with great spool characteristics. TD05 is a 350bhp capable turbo, but significantly later and slower to spool.

Both of the above figures require supporting mods at no small expense.

Don't go contemplating changing a turbo at this stage of ownership mate. Enjoy what you've got; quick enough for the moment!
