removing 112mph limit

Hi I expect you peeps have heard this a million times but how easy is it to remove the 112mph speed limiter? I would like to do this myself if possible.

WHAT CAR if is is a classic pre 96 takes 2 min to do part costs £50 if it is after 96 you need to buy a chip on ebay £40 take about 1hr to do cheers
