Turbo Noise
Hi There,
I used to own a Renault 5 Turbo that was quite moddified and it produced a rather loud turbo induction noise once spooled up. I think it was mainly achived by just an air filter change.
I now have a 2004 STI and wondered if it was possible to recreate this sound as you can hardly hear the turbo at all.
Thanks in advance
Chris

you can get variations on the loudness of the dump, recirculating valve is better for you car but an atmospheric valve is louder I believe but this one can mess with your car and in some cases cause running/fuel problems.

It's not the dump valve noise i'm after, It's the sound of the turbo spooling up i'm after.
To be honest i would rather have the dump valve off and have the really loud wastegate chatter i had off my 5 turbo when boosting to 30psi

induction kit will give you the noise you are after, but judgung by previous posts scoobs seem to dislike them as they take in hot air from around the engine.if you are going to get one i would suggest getting a cold air type
