Default Sticky rev counter needle

Hi all.

I have done a search for this and not found anything...

I have an v5 type R and when revving the needle seems to stick and jump, like it has been gooed up with something. I am not really sure what to check. I dont feel like its an electrical connection thing, more of a 'sticky' needle thing.

Anyone seen this before, or have any ideas?

Thanks!!

I have exactly same thing on my p1, needle sticks for a split second then jumps to where it should be, I was told by my last mapper that they run directly from the ecu so this might be where the problem is, is yours the standard ecu? I'll be interested if you find anymore info.
