I fitted my own a while back but it came with a harness which was wrong. After 3 attempts I got the right harness, after that it was easy.

Was it easy enough to fit though??? The guy I bought it from said he can only remember that the brown wire went to the handbrake!!

If you get the correct harness its easy, just plug it in!! the brown wire needs to be connected so if the handbrake is released during cool down the engine will stop!

If your ok with a soldering iron, and you have a wiring diagram for the timer your fitting(if not there often available as a pdf file on the manufacturers website),then its easy. Impreza diagrames are on this site, just search. Once you know which wire is which, cut a window in the cars wires required, solder timer to it, then tape it up, easy!

I had the harness and a purple wire to connect to the handbrake. Without the harness I guess it could be a bit of a nightmare.

I had a look under the steering wheel today and I found a few spare plugs, some of which are the same type as the one on the turbo timer but they do not fit!! I think I will just get someone to fit it for me, saves hassle !!

Cheers anyway fellas
