Is it an STI TMIC ??

can a slanty TMIC be an sti one if it's all black??

think the sti ones are silver, from what i have seen

If it's exactly the same size, shape and core construction then it's the same intercooler. Doesn't matter whether it's black, silver, pink or green. But yes as standard they are silver, so there'd have to be a reason why it had been painted black.

I know this because I have a black STi 4 TMIC with WRX pipework and it is 100% the same dimensions and design as a normal silver STi with the badge. Only the STi pipework is missing.

TBH though if you're looking for an STi TMIC you have to look for silver.
