Default Gauge electricals

Fitted a lamco boost gauge which attaches to the steering wheel column cover, where's the best place to wire electrics into for backlight. Gauge just has yellow/black wires so I'll just need 12v+ when lights on and a ground. I was going to use foglamp switch as I assumed thats only live when lights on - is that ok, how do I get to the wires and what colour do I tap into.

Cheers

I wired mine into the cigarette lighter source.

Tap into the wires. Then when you put your light on (side or mains) the gauge will light up.

This way it has the correct earth too.. andis easy to wire up and route.
