Default How much will this cost?

I have had a bad burning smell while stopped at lights or in traffic for a few weeks and now I know what it is.

It never rains but it poors.*

This pic is the drivers side. Is it the inner CV boot Im to tell the garage? how much to fix?

Thanks.

Yes it is the inner CV boot..

Assuming all goes smoothly then not a mega expensive job..

2hours labour and parts cheap.. worth replacing outer whilst the driveshaft is out.

yeah, shouldnt be too bad, people forget, a scoob is just a car, driveshafts etc are the same on most cars.

outer boot on my primera GT cost me £50 to get done, granted its the outer one, but it cost £20 for the boot so i thought sod it, pay the extra £30 for some1 to do it in half the time i would

only reason it might take more to sort is if the shaft is stuck in the hub.. I had to remove the hub and press it out took 28tonnes to shift it on my car but even then a competent garage should have that sorted in another couple of hours.
