hi there,

i need help!! got a wrx my95 wagon. its been popping out of 2nd gear when changing down from 3/4th (not all the time only some times)

but on the way to work this morning i was driving along went to change to 2nd and it wouldnt go in , or any other gear! pulled over to have a look (dont know why i havnt got a clue) then started it up again in netrual but it jumped foward as it it was in gear!! but it wasnt

Cheers 911 i will try that tomorow!! i took it to a local garage today and let them have a look and thay said the gear box needs to come out so thay can check it properly!

thay said to take the box out and put it back its a 6 hour job so thats mega bucks straght away!! thats without finding out whats wrong with the box!!

( anyone wanna buy a kid or 2 to pay the repair bills??)

 

£200 will ge tthe box in and out mate.

bad news is if it is the box, it aint gonna be a cheap fix. i blew my gearbox up on the isle of man, and its looking like a bill for minimum £900 for a recon'd box, once you add vat etc.

although i'm going mad and upgrading it costing around the 3 grand mark
