Unhappy crank seal,replaced..still got a bloody leak!

as above, the seal was replaced last week, then it was sealed up with sealant, but it seems that every morning once heated up..that car starts to smoke again...

now the weird part!!!

once all the excess oil on the manifold/exhaust has burnt off its fine...all day!!

so is this excess oil left after the initial leak(Underside was not steam cleaned after the seal was replaced)or is this coming from somewhere else..?

Sounds like you have more than one leak - the Oil Seperator Plate next to the Rear Main Oil Seal can crack(plastic type) and leak.

The spot welds on the oil sump splash guard do not need much to start leaking.
I did my front and rear crank seal before finding the spotweld on the rear of the sump was the cause. It may be worth changing the sump as for a scoob part its not that expensive. 40 notes I think it was.
