Default 3 port boost solenoid pipework

Can anyone help with a pipework diagram / photo / description for a 3 port boost solenoid on a my93 type ra ?

I only have two pipes connected to the 3 ports at the moment so one port is not connected to anything. I am suffering from overboost in 3rd to 5th gears and fuel cut. I am running standard ecu with a chip to 1.1 bar.

I have already cleaned with brake cleaner the solenoid and have fitted a second one that I had spare. I have also swapped the pipes around in all combinations I can think of.

Any help would be most appreciated, thanks!

top pipe to compressor cover.. middle pipe to actuator, bottom pipe is vent..

I suspect you probably have replaced pipe work without the restrictor?

I have the original pipework but cant seem to see a restrictor in it. I fitted new pipework today and no change to the problem.

So the bottom downward pointing port is not supposed to be connected to anything then?

Thanks!

Right - that explains it then as I dont have that pipe, just the other two original ones.

So the bottom port pointing directly down should vent to atmosphere via a pipe with a restrictor?

Is it possible to fabricate a replacement somehow?

Tahnks for the help!

You could fabricate some sort of restrictor, the hole should be between 1mm and 2mm, not sure of the exact size, open it out till boost is correct. Or... Go to subaru and order these:

You will want the following Parts :

1-Off 807505442 HOSE
1-Off 22326AA090 ORIFICE
2-Off 805912050 HOSE CLAMP

Will come to about £25...
