Default is it easy to change rear pads?????

hi guys i have a 95 import wrx could anyone tell me wether the rear pads are easy to change,im quite mechanicly minded but with limited tools ,changed pads on renaults and fords with ease just wonderin if this is a small job i can do to save cost cheers peeps regards scott

Straight forward job. Hardest part was jacking the car up!

And perhaps a block of wood (or similar, I often use an old pad) and a g-clamp to slowly push the piston back into the caliper to allow it to slide over the new pads. Just make sure you open the brake fluid resevoir cap and ensure the fluid doesnt spill out as you're pushing the piston back. Once thats all sorted, just make sure the fluid isnt past the max level (if it is, just use a syringe to extract some).

Hope that all makes sense. I'll probably be changing my rear pads this week at some point (my rear brakes are making some strange noises at very low speed braking, so just seeing if its the DS2500s or something else). I'll take some pics if you like?
