Default Cusco roll cage fitment help!!!

I am trying to fit a six point cusco (or what I believe to be) roll cage into my classic. I can't seem to get the front part of the cage far enough foreward for the rear arms to locate properly. Either I have to lose the roof lining or it is the carpet and sound deadening that has to go. Just thought I would see if anybody can give me advise first before I go and remove the wrong bit and mess it up! Thanks

You will have to move the carpet/deadning off as I did and refit carpet once the cage is in.

They are all right, you'll have to take the carpet out and then sound deadning.

I was told for safety reasons too, obviously otherwise the carpet or deadning could go up with a spark from a welder.

Might help Geoff?

Removed the carpet and local deadening to weld the pads in, then replaced the trimmed carpet.
Left all the headlining in, but had to remove the sun visors anf the rear view mirroe.
Cage is a Safety Devices cage.
