Throttle stuck open!
Hi,
Driving into work this morning, and midway through a gear change (clutch down), the throttle floored itself (without my foot on it) and the revs bounced off the limiter for a couple of seconds. In 4 years it's the 1st time it's done that, but it was fairly worrying!!
Anyone had this happen to them or know what I need to check?
It's a modified (mods a year old) 03 WRX.
Thanks.

firstly check there is nothing catching or that can catch in the throttle linkage and that the spring is fitted and working.. ie. it returns to closed throttle etc..

Had a quick look, and appeared fine, no obstructions etc. It was fine the rest of the way in and on the way back. Could it have been the ECU having a brain fart? Is it likely to do it again?
