Default Tek3 ECU problem

Hi all, i went today to buy a Tek3 ECU from a guy on this forum.
The problems is that i fitted the ECU to my car, it turned over but would not fire up. Anyone have any ideas?
Both my ECU and his ECU have the same part number, both off the same car and the same year.
Any help greatly appreciated.
Ronnie ;-)

Won`t this need mapping to your mods though on your car?? or do Tek 3 remaps work straight onto other cars....

Would you not need to get the key coded to the ecu?

The problem is definately the key coding, you cannot swap ecu's without teaching the keys. Any EcuTek user can do this for you (as long as they support your model year of course), takes less than 10 mins.

cheers

Yes no problem, you could have a long trip though, depending where you are, and the car needs to come to me.

cheers
