Default Boost Gauge question

Hi all, I have been reading various other posts on the frum on where to connect a boost gauge to in the engine bay. Where is the best place? Some people say to put a T-piece onto the vaccum pipe on the dump vavle and others say to connect to the inlet manifold take off. Will it make any difference, oh, and where/what is the inlet manifold take off?!

Please, keep it simple thanks.
